Local South Dakota CSAs
South Dakota is located in the Plains region of the USA. Cattle and calves are South Dakota's most important agricultural product and account for a little over a third of the total agricultural production of the state. Hogs and dairy products are also somewhat important as are, to a lesser degree, turkeys and chicken eggs. Grain corn is South Dakota's number one crop with soybeans right behind. Wheat is important. Hay and sunflower products round out the states’ top five crop commodities. Supporting South Dakota Farms provides significant value to the local community and a variety of other benefits.
