Grass - Fed
About Us / Witchwood Farms History: Bob Hill's journey into gardening happened in kindergarten when he realized he had a green thumb when he grew a "decent" pumpkin. From there he grew what was said to be the impossible in New Jersey... bananas. He knew that the key was fertile soil and he continues today to care for the plants and soil utilizing organic practices to provide his clients with the most nutrient dense produce available.
We nourish the soil so in turn it produces strong disease resistant plants that flourish, providing nutrient-dense vegetation for our clients. We grow over 40 different vegetables, herbs, and flowers so our CSA members get a diverse abundance of vegetables every week.
We raise truly free range animals, they root around in the fields, eat grass and bugs and they enjoy the scraps that don't make the cut for the weekly CSA share. Our animals are of the finest breeds to provide our clients with superior flavor and quality. They are raised antibiotic free, they often dine on mangels, winter squash, and carrots, and when their diets are supplemented with grain feed it is non-GMO grain. We offer eggs and different cuts from 6 animals including quail, chicken, Pekin duck, Heritage turkeys, lamb, and Berkshire pigs.
